Although more of a challenge was faced in consistency and tolerances, sheet metal tooling made the project far more affordable, and through some prototyping the designs were perfected. The majority of the oven could be produced with simple tools, while the front block required a more complex arrangement.
CLIENT PROJECTS
External projects offered opportunities to illustrate real world designs in toy form. A train which could be sold on the Eurostar and become a part of the Bigjigs range.
Beating major brand ‘Brio’ to the prize, the Medieval Trainset won best new wooden toy at Toy-Fair London 2017. The simple construction locked together by its own flags meant it minimized build cost, and provided a good value puzzle and toy for the user.
